Around July or August 2019, a member of the soon-to-be-formed forum had an issue with his then roommate who wanted him out of the house. A gathering of brothers from Block Rosary Crusade Coker, who were also friends of the affected brother, met together at Shekoni street and joined resources to support the brother to resolve the issue.
With the success of that meeting, the gathering of brothers decided to meet more regularly to support each other in times of individual needs. In the month of Sept 2019, Obinwanne forum was formed with the goals of encouraging brotherly love, helping each other progress and providing a helping hand in times of struggle. The forum began with meetings been held rotationally in the homes of each member with the member hosting his fellow members with food and drinks, but in September 2022 by divine intervention the forum secured a spacious permanent venue at Bale street Orile. The forum has also held end-of-the-year celebrations and incorporated bi-monthly prayer sessions to improve the spiritual life of her members. Currently the forum has 10 full members with plans of increasing the numbers in the nearest future.
